67L CAT5 Single Variable Speed Pump Booster Set & Tank, 75l/min @ 5.0bar

The CAT 5 booster set also know as ‘Backflow prevention booster set’ incorporates a 67 Litre polypropylene break tank complete with a raised ball valve chamber with an AB air gap to WRAS approved regulations. This free standing booster set, is ideal where space is limited, as it has a small footprint of just 650mm x 650mm. The system comes complete with an integrated pressure controller which is mounted directly to th top of the pump.

 

What is a CAT 5 break tank and booster set?

Cat 5 Break Tank and Pump Sets feature an AB air gap between the inlet and outlet to ensure that contaminated water does not flow back into the mains supply. Thus conforming to all revelant water regulations for category 5.

Applications include:

• Wash down and bin store
• Dental rinsing equipment
• Single hosepipe application
• Laboratory water supplies
• Vehicle and plant cleaning
• Any other CAT5 application where backflow protection is required.

 

Operation

The CAT 5 Booster set is designed to monitor the system pressure. As the demand increases the pressure will fall and the pump will start to run until the demand hsa stopped and the pressure increases. The variable speed option has the advantages of maintaining constant pressure which reduces running costs and saves energy.

Delivery

All the our CAT5 Booster sets are for delivery by customer offload. This entails the customer to acquire the right manpower and/or machinery to help unload the tank/s from the delivery vehicle.

If you require assistance with offloading, we may be able to offer a tail lift (lowers the tank to the ground) or HIAB (lorry with a mounted crane to winch the tank off the delivery vehicle). Please contact us if this is required for delivery.
