Sensor Tape c/w Connectors – 1 Metre
Sensor Tape: Available in 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m and 10 m lengths.
Plug and socket connections mean any length can be made up by simply connecting the various cable lengths together.
The tape is the most commonly used sensor method and will be used whenever an area needs to be monitored for leaks. If water touches at any point along the length of the tape, the alarm will sound off. A typical example might be a tea point in an office where the alarm panel will be fixed to the wall, the connection cable routed down to underneath one end of the kitchen cupboards. At this point it will be terminated in a start of line junction box and the sensor tape plugged into this. The sensor tape is run under the pipe work under the cabinets and held in place by cable clips. At the end of the sensor tape there is an end of line connector that must be fitted and is used to monitor the connections and cables for faults.
